About this work

Cushion top of woven fabric with a coat of arms supported by two climbing lions, with an inscription on a scroll above reading "MR DINGMAN AD DINGMANS PENNINGH.MR", the date 1711 on either side, and on a scroll below the inscription "AEMILIA POLDER". The cushion was used as a magistrate's cushion by the dike board of Aemilia Polder.
