About this work

Magistrate's cushion of dark green cloth with the crowned coat of arms of West Friesland and two lions as supporters, all in silk embroidery. Below the coat of arms is a scroll with the inscription "DE HR. FRANS.VAN.DAALEN.GECOMMIT.TEERDE.RAAD.1773". The cushion is finished with a short dark green silk fringe and lined with dark green half-wool damask.
