Doily of natural-colored bobbin lace: Honiton lace. Rectangular model. A zigzag scalloped edge encloses a central field, which is scattered with thistle branches and rose branches, set between deeply cut leaves. Further loose feather motifs and roses of different sizes. The motifs are made in net stitch and linen stitch with openwork edges and with contour threads. Here and there relief contours are used, for example on the petals of the larger roses and for the veins of larger leaves. In many motifs, decorations with numerous and varied form stitches are realized. And along some leaves, fine picots are applied along the edges. The motifs are connected to each other by a braid ground of long braids.
