About this work

A gueridon decorated with marquetry of rosewood, satinwood, olive wood and other wood types, partially gilded and painted black. The stem consists of a herm-shaped shaft decorated with incised leaves, above which a putto supports with his hands a cushion held on his head. Resting on the cushion, on a pear-shaped intermediate piece, is an octagonal top with an incised leaf border and decorated with butterflies and flowers. The octagonal base has floral decoration in marquetry. Pendant: BK-16076-a.
