Standing Clock, Jan Hermelinck, Amsterdam

Standing clock in an oak case veneered with walnut. The S-shaped curved pedestal rests on claw feet. The upper and lower curved cabinet door features a diamond pane with copper fittings and displays a vase and bow with wreath in marquetry in a lighter wood. The hood has a curved molding with cresting featuring rocailles; Tuscan columns at the corners. Three gilded figures, two of Fame and Atlas, crown the hood. Below the dial a mythological scene and figures are painted.
