About this work

Table decorated with marquetry of rosewood and palisander wood on an oak core. The symmetrically cut sides are scalloped on the underside and connected by a stretcher. The top has rounded corners, a raised edge at the back and sides and is scalloped in the center at the front. The central field of the top can be raised to a lectern position. The side fields open as doors with hinges for storage space; these three fields show a scalloped pattern on four sides with rounded corners.
