About this work
Oriental carpet, prayer rug, of knotted wool. On the central field a terra-cotta mihrab with a pointed toothed top in which an inverted oil lamp hangs. Two columns ending in flowers. Around three borders, the middle one, the widest, decorated with lotuses and leaves.
