About this work
Round table of walnut, on a pedestal with four sliding drawers, on which four fluted square Ionic columns are placed. Between the reductions in the pedestal and the rail, two naked caryatids and two naked atlantes are placed, seated on a column shaft, upon which turned C-scrolls. Fruit clusters on the heads and at the back of the columns. The lower and upper friezes carry punched decorations all around, including animal and human heads on scrollwork cartouches. The floor is glued in a cross pattern.
