About this work

Cupboard decorated with marquetry of rosewood and rosewood and other wood species on an oak core. The S-shaped legs are placed diagonally and carry mounts. The front consists of two curved doors, between which a hollowed central stile, and has, like the arched sides, panels in marquetry within asymmetrical gilded bronze mounts. The panels are decorated with bouquets tied with a ribbon. Stamped: BVRB JME (possibly Boucher); ownership mark under the marble top. See: BK-16679-a.
