About this work
Secretary decorated with marquetry of rosewood, rosewood and other wood species on an oak core. The diagonally placed legs, the front with S-shaped corner stiles, merge into the shaped front rail and side rails. The curved front shows a heart-shaped shield formed by leaf volutes containing a bouquet of tulips. The upper half serves as a writing surface for a two-part upper cupboard; the lower half has two doors. Rocaille mounts at the bottom of the legs, at the top of the stiles and on the front rail.
