Linen bedsheet with embroidered year 1672. Two bands, finished around the edges with open hems, are joined by a finely cut entre-deux showing a fine checkered pattern. On the upper flap of each band a white embroidery is applied, including in fils lirés, in the form of large, elaborately worked initials D and I, on either side of a tree of life (?). The year 1672 is applied in a fine stem stitch. Several rust spots.
