About this work
Linen damask napkin with fleurs-de-lis. Swirling bands form vertically elongated fields. The bands consist of straight and round sections, filled with small fleurs-de-lis; at the junctions, a swirling branch with lilies. The border, outlined only on the outside with fine zigzag edges and scrollwork with grid filling, displays closely packed floral bouquets, directed toward the center in the corners and emerging from a support bearing a fleur-de-lis. Surrounding: block border.
