About this work
Console table base of gilded lime wood. The carved, profiled marble top is supported by two inward-facing carved C-scrolls flanking a keel shell; two additional C-scrolls to the left and right. The whole rests on a lower section consisting of a large acanthus leaf, above which is a caterpillar-shaped motif. See also: BK-16855-B.
