About this work

Gilded bronze fire dog. The rectangular base features corner chamfers with dog heads, rosettes, grapevines, and a relief depiction of a hunting scene. On top, placed on a kind of raised landscape, is a boar. A descending connecting piece with grapevines and rosettes leads to a fluted pedestal with garlands, decorated with grapevines. On top of this pedestal lies shot game with a hunting horn.
