About this work
An iron projecting arm consisting of square rods that are formed into C- and broken S-volutes. On the arm that ends in a bird's head hangs a shield with a gilded sun. The volutes of the arm carry some foliage and a large leafy vine. At the shield C-volutes enclose the face of the sun, around which rays are placed. Some of these volutes have a scalloped leaf edge. From the collection of Dr. F. Mannheimer.
