Savonnerie carpet with medallion. Central field: on a black ground in the centre is a round medallion of white with four times a half-circular shield of blue covered by an arch with a yellow snake (colbert?), interrupted by crosswise placed quiver and helmet; in the heart a green laurel wreath and leaf rosette of terra; border of terra-red with double garland band of yellow with acanthus leaf of white and blue. The rest of the field is again divided by a list of beige-brown framed in yellow bands, which is half-circularly scalloped on the short sides, and which is filled with rose-red acanthus spiral and various flowers. The black ground is covered by two-sided symmetrical acanthus vines, which originate from a pair of white-yellow acanthus volutes wrapped by snakes, from which a yellow shell hangs from a blue ribbon, while on the inside a blue ball with laurel branches cuts through the medallion. On the middles of the long sides a star-shaped sun with face (Louis XIV).
