About this work
Rectangular sandstone base belonging to 'Sculpture, representing Fortune'. The top slab of the base is attached to the sculpture BK-18042-B-1. The top surface of the base is significantly damaged and discolored because the top slab has been removed. Many flakes of sandstone are missing at the edge of the top surface. The sides of the base are flat. The plinth is attached to the shaft with cement and is projecting, as a profiled rim widens the base. The shaft of the base protrudes 4 centimeters at the back. The base is a pendant of BK-18042-A-2.
