About this work

Upholstered chair of walnut. The rear legs splay backwards and the obliquely placed S-shaped front legs on hoof feet have a widening at the top ending in scrolls and decorated swellings. The cross has shaped side splats; front splat with an acanthus leaf between inward-turning C-scrolls. The high back has a central panel with C-scrolls and a sunflower and a shaped upper rail with a shell motif, both pierced. The lower rail shows scrolls with a shell. The upper part of the stiles is stretched into an S-shape.
