About this work
Barrel-shaped jar of colorless glass, decorated with a cut diamond pattern. The middle jar has a fixed silver lid, into which a pattern has been sawn of a stylized flower surrounded by stars. The middle jar is intended for sand. The three holders are fixed to the underside of the sheet by a long pin. Around the middle holder is the inscription: Last gift from my Mother-in-law, Died 25 Aug: 1824.
