Berthe of needle lace with spiral vines

Berthe of natural-colored needle lace: flat Venetian lace. Pattern: symmetrical thin vines with large spirals are branched and feature many flower buds and some moderately large palmette flowers. The motifs are made with closely joined festoon stitches, with cutouts creating various patterns in flowers and leaves. The motifs are connected by relatively long, single and double bars with one or several composite picots. If the bars are connected, a wheel of picots is attached at the joints, a so-called wheel picot. All sides are finished with wheel picots.
