Strip of bobbin lace with narrow volute scrolls and blunt knobs

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, Milanese lace. The strip is slightly curved and has rounded corners at the bottom. The pattern consists of narrow volute tendrils with blunt buds. The tendrils are made with bobbin-edged double ribbons in linen stitch with openwork edges, with a very open braided ground of double and branched braids with picots. At various places the ribbons form a loop, as applied in occhiolini lace. The top side is finished with a separately bobbin-edged strip. The sides and bottom are continuous with another bobbin-edged strip finished with picots.
