About this work

Eastern carpet, Ottoman medallion carpet. In the red central field stands a lobed green medallion, with quarter-medallions in the corners. The central field also shows rosettes, lotus flowers and sickle leaves. The border is alternately decorated with rosettes, lotus flowers and sickle leaves.
