About this work
Porcelain teapot with a spherical body, curved spout and rocaille handle, painted on the glaze in enamel colors and gold. On the belly twice a landscape with people and a pillar with a vase. Between them bouquets and scattered flowers. Golden lines on the foot and the neck. The spout ends in an animal head. Marked with the monogram of Catherine II of Russia. Possibly a 19th or 20th century forgery.
