About this work
Milk jug of porcelain with a pear-shaped body, spout rim and rocaille handle, painted on the glaze in enamel colours and gold. On the belly a landscape with a couple at a castle. Next to it bouquets and sprigs of flowers. Gold lines on the foot and the handle. Gold rim. Marked with the monogram of Catherine II of Russia. Possibly a 19th or 20th century forgery.
