About this work
Upholstered armchair of rosewood. The legs, in the form of Tuscan columns slightly narrowed above the base, rest on houses connected by four splayed stretchers at the bottom. The armrests are jointed like the legs and rest on houses at the level of the seat frame. The flat hollowed armrests end at the front in closed volutes. The rectangular back frame slopes backwards; the stiles are crowned by shield-bearing seated lions. Stamped mark: B B M.
