About this work

Strip of natural-colored applied lace: Brussels bobbin lace applied on a drawnwork ground. This type of lace is also known as point d'Angleterre. Scatter pattern with open rosettes. Along the finely scalloped lower edge of sickle leaves runs a wavy vine with round knobs and deeply cut leaves. Motifs of Brussels bobbin lace with characteristic ribs or stitched relief contours. One type of open decorative stitch. The upper side is edged with a border of bobbin lace.
