About this work

Oak sideboard with two doors featuring shell-shaped arched panels and cornices around a lion's head. On the central stile and the corner stiles placed diagonally, herm caryatids on bracket consoles are attached, decorated with scrollwork and a female head, ending at the bottom in an animal claw. The straight plinth with scrollwork and the quarter-round frieze with turned-out blowing horns feature reductions in the center and at the corners, with animal masks at the bottom and lion heads with rings at the top.
