Pelerine (shoulder cape) with flaps, of machine-made Chantilly decorated with ribbon and passementerie. Model: round shoulder model of two strips of lace, decorated with three rows of ribbon. A smooth turn-down closes against the neck and hangs down at the front in two straight parts. This yoke, which is lined with black passementerie and gathered ribbon, has pointed ends, from which two straight flaps composed of lace pieces joined along the scallops come down, also provided with ribbon strips. Technique: the scalloped lace is a machine-made imitation of Chantilly. Lace pattern: scattered four-petal flowers and dots. The scallops are decorated with volutes and palmettes.
