About this work

The foot, stem, drip pan, and pin are cast separately. The triangular foot executed in the scroll style is built up from three S-scrolls, connected by three cartouches, which support the triangular base for the stem. This consists of a vase and a baluster. The profiled drip pan has, among other things, a rib in the middle on top of the strongly projecting rim. The candle pin decorated with grooved rings is bulbously profiled at the foot and ends at the top in an acorn. The candlestick is weighted at the bottom inside to provide more stability. The stem and candle pin stand slightly askew relative to the foot.
