Roemer with lid, featuring The Lamb of God and floral and leaf motifs

Roemer with lid of green glass with four rows of blackberry knobs on the stem. On the junction of the bowl and the stem a pinched band. The bowl is decorated in diamond engraving with a representation of the Lamb of God in a medallion and a four-line German text: ALLEIN AUFF GOTT SETS DEIN VERTRAUEN, AUFF MENSCHEN HILFF SOLLEN NICHT BAUEN, GOTT IST ALLEIN DER GLAUBEN HELLT, SONST IST KEIN GLAUB MEHR IN DER WELT. Below: Ao 1659. Between medallion and inscription flower and leaf motifs in Renaissance style. Along the top and bottom of the bowl a narrow wavy border and a row of fleurs-de-lis are applied. This decoration is repeated on the lid. Note: roemer broken and glued; knob of lid missing.
