The bowl is decorated in diamond engraving with a representation of the Lamb of God in a medallion and a four-line German text: ALLEIN AUFF GOTT SETS DEIN VERTRAUEN, AUFF MENSCHEN HILFF SOLLEN NICHT BAUEN, GOTT IST ALLEIN DER GLAUBEN HELLT, SONST IST KEIN GLAUB MEHR IN DER WELT. Below: Ao 1659. Between the medallion and the inscription, flower and leaf motifs in Renaissance style. Along the upper and lower edges of the bowl, a narrow wavy border and a row of fleurons are applied. This decoration is repeated on the lid. Note: roemer broken and glued; lid knob missing.
