About this work
Fragment of silk brocade fabric with a pattern of pastel-colored flowers on a striped ground. Pattern: vertical silver bands (fading to the yellow core) alternating with narrow light blue bands in a grey-beige frame. Filling of curved flower branches and stiff palmette flowers in pink with white and pink with silver. Oriental textile.
