About this work

Strip of Natural-Coloured Bobbin Lace, Old Flemish Lace. The Shells from Which the Strip is Built are Semi-Circular with Whimsically Shaped Edges. The Shells Arise from a Repeating Symmetrical Motif of a Flowerpot in Which Among Other Things Thistles Stand. Relative to the Straight Upper Edge the Flowerpot Hangs Upside Down. The Motifs are Made in Linen Stitch with Leaves Made in Form Stitch in the Cutouts in Various Places.
