Desk with slanted flap and bombé drawer block

Desk veneered with walnut on an oak core on angularly cut legs. The carved section contains two large drawers and, at the top, two small drawers placed side by side, all surrounded by semi-circular frames and fitted with so-called "English hardware". Above this, on the front left and right, two brass knobs are visible. At the top is the angled flap, with a molded central panel and an "English" keyplate. The drawers and the door behind the flap are inlaid with reeding.
