About this work
Porcelain teapot with a molded, globular body, slightly curved spout and high handle rising from the rim, painted in underglaze blue and gold. The neck is slightly raised on the spout side. The belly and neck are covered in underglaze blue. On the belly a band of leaf scrolls and torches. The foot, shoulder, neck, handle and rim with gold bands. The spout and the raised part of the neck with leaf scrolls and a torch. The lid with the same decoration, without the torches. Marked on the underside with the coat of arms, ii, number 25 and year number 821.
