About this work

Teapot of porcelain with a globular body, curved spout, and C-shaped handle, painted on the glaze in blue and gold. The body is covered with vertical bands with alternating blue floral vines or garlands against a gold background and loose flowers, and a gold leafy vine that winds around a gold and blue line. The spout is decorated with a rosette and the base is modeled in leafy vines. Leaf motifs on the handle. Gold foot and rim. Lid with the same decoration and a finial in the form of a flower. Marked on the underside with the crowned CT beneath 6-, 20, and OC7.
