About this work

Fragment of a silk weave with an incomplete, asymmetrical pattern: twice a running pattern of a tree bending to the right on a rock. The knotty main trunk is cut off; on side branches grow loose crowns of hand-shaped leaves in lemon yellow, dark green, and brown. The rock is quite high, beige and brown in color, and covered with ivy tendrils in sky blue. Left, a clump of reeds in mustard yellow with pinkish plumes. Top left, a branch with large salmon and violet-pink flowers (cut off).
