About this work
Ribbon, possibly for garters, white with silver. Ground of gros de Tours with transverse stripes of silver lamé. The ornament is partly of brocaded silver lamé, floating to the edges. Pattern of facing, interlocking classical palmettes. Self-edged with cockcombs.
