About this work

Ribbon, possibly for garters, with a similar pattern: a ribbon in blue, white, and silver. Technique: Ground of gros de Tours in white with transverse stripes of silver lamé. The ornament is partly of brocaded silver lamé, floating to the edges, partly of white, blue, or salmon-colored silk warp threads, also floating. Pattern: Facing, interlocking classical palmettes with silver inner leaves and outer leaves in respective and blooming colors, cockcomb self-edges.
