About this work
Milk jug of porcelain with an egg-shaped body, straight spout ending in an animal's head and at right angles to it a curled handle in the form of a leafy vine. Painted on the glaze in enamel colours and gold. On the belly two birds in a landscape, one on a branch and the other on the ground. Next to this a bouquet and straw flowers. On the rim a band with lacework, beneath which golden vines. The curled handle is gilded and ends in a palmette. Marked on the underside with the A and I.
