About this work

Maniple with embroidery of gold and silver thread, blood coral, garnets and pearls. The maniple has forked ends. The embroidery features a running vine pattern ending in golden flowers with silver leaves. The flower centers are filled with coral, garnets, pearls and a single paste diamond. The maniple belongs to six ecclesiastical embroideries with inv. nos. BK-1966-54-A to BK-1966-54-F.
