About this work

Soft-paste porcelain plate (pâte tendre), painted on the glaze in blue, red, green, black, and gold. On the flat surface two quails among flowering plants and two flying butterflies. The rim with flower branches, butterflies, and a band of floral vines. The plate is in the style of Japanese Kakiemon porcelain.
