About this work

Octagonal porcelain plate, painted on the glaze in blue, red, green, black and gold. On the surface a depiction of Shiba Onko (Sima Guang) next to the water pot where a child has fallen. A third person stands on the other side of the pot. On the rim a band with flower scrolls. Brown rim. Arita, Kakiemon.
