About this work
Porcelain dish, painted in underglaze blue and on the glaze blue, red and turquoise. On the flat a medallion in the form of a hoo-bird. The inner wall with three pearl-chasing dragons (chilong). The outer wall with three times a stylized flower vine. Marked on the underside with the Chinese six-character mark of Emperor Chenghua in a circle. Old label on the underside with 'collection Westendorp/ 117'. Four feet on the underside. Kakiemon style.
