About this work
Eight-lobbed porcelain teapot, painted on the glaze in blue, red, yellow, green, black and gold. The eight-lobbed body is divided into compartments by vertical ribs. On the body on one side a prunus by a rock, on the other side a peony. The spout and handle with leaf scrolls. The lid with a prunus by a rock and a flying bird. Chip in the spout. Old label on the underside with 'Collection Westendorp/ 127'. Arita, Kakiemon style.
