About this work
Part of a desk, miniature with a lid of ebony and the spindle of tropical wood. The separate pedestal with obliquely placed stout curved legs shows floral and leaf work, volutes and rocailles. On this stands the lower cabinet with a double-curved base and a drawer with a silver key plate; on the sides twisted handles with rosettes, framed by knobs.
