About this work

Strip of natural-coloured bobbin lace, Brussels lace. The repeating pattern consists of two symmetrical compositions with flower vases or flower pots. The irregular plait ground with picots runs behind the motifs in different places. Full work in linen stitch with cut-outs and filling of motifs with decorative grounds. The upper side is finished with a straight edge. The lower side is finished with a shallow scalloped edge resulting from the pattern.
