About this work

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, Old Flemish or Italian lace. The pattern consists of indistinctly defined leaf scrolls. The contours of the motifs are made with bobbin lace in linen stitch and are connected to each other with short overlapping connections. At various places rings are formed by the crossing of narrower bobbin lace strips, as in occhiolini. The slightly scalloped underside follows the pattern and is finished with picots. The upper side is finished straight.
