About this work

Strip of natural-colored Brussels appliqué lace: needle lace applied on a drochel ground. Scattered pattern with along the lower edge a repeating motif of a one-sidedly curved composite flower branch, including bellflowers, a rose, small rosette flowers, a cornflower or carnation, ears of corn and feather-shaped leaves. The scalloped lower edge is formed by curved flower branches with similar flowers and leaves. The upper edge is finished with a hem.
