Ampulla

Ampulla with a hinged, convex lid, resting on a round foot with a flat lower edge. The foot is composed of a convex and a tapered, tapering section. Along the convex section, semi-circular mouldings run on the underside and the upper side. The tapering section is divided by a flat ring. The body has a round belly and a straight wall. Profiled mouldings run along the middle of the wall and along the upper edge. On one side is a triangular spout, on the other an ear in the form of a volute. The thumb rest is in the form of an openwork, volute-decorated letter. On the lid, above the spout, a letter is engraved. On one specimen the letter A, on the other the letter V.
